Phillips appointed to Denton County Development District

Stephen Phillips, Dallas Regional Manager for the Dominion Golf Group, was sworn in as a board member for Denton County Development District #4 (DCDD #4) on Nov. 14.

Phillips has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and involved with the Lantana Golf Club since it opened in 2002.

As Regional Manager, his responsibilities include oversight of all management and supervision of both the Lantana and Bridlewood golf clubs.

“It is a tremendous honor to be appointed to this board and I look forward to bettering our communities and Denton County in general,” said Phillips.

Denton County’s Fresh Water Supply District #6 & #7 boards made the recommendation for Phillips to be appointed to the DCDD #4 board.

DCDD #4 receives a half-cent of Lantana’s 6.75 percent sales tax and is charged with allocating tax dollars in an effort to drive tourism to Lantana.

Phillips attended Texas Tech University where he majored in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. He lives in Lantana with his wife, Jamie, and their son, Grant.

Former Lantana Fresh Water Supply District 7 President John Rausch has also been appointed to the DCDD #4 board and is expected to be sworn into office in January or February.

Other DCDD #4 board members include Jerry Goodale, Sean O’Keefe and Keith Owens.
