Market Street will bring over 300 jobs to Flower Mound

As many as 320 new jobs will be coming to Flower Mound in December when United Supermarkets, LLC opens its new Market Street location at 3800 Long Prairie Road.

The new location is on the northeast corner of FM 2499 and FM 1171 and is part of The River Walk at Central Park development. It is scheduled to open in December.

To fill the new positions, the company will host a job fair Oct. 23 through Nov. 8 at Grace Community Assembly of God, 2525 Forest Vista in Flower Mound. Times for the job fair are as follows:

·         Mondays and Tuesdays                     10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
·         Wednesdays                                         9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
·         Thursdays                                             9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
·         Saturdays                                              8 a.m. to noon

Hiring selections and offers will be made Oct. 31 through Nov. 8, including drug testing and background checks. Training will begin Nov. 4 and continue through Nov. 22.

“We will conduct the complete hiring process at the job fair – from paperwork to interviews and extending job offers,” said Ashly Gann, regional talent relations manager for Market Street.

Positions will be available across the store, including department clerks, bakers, cooks, floral designers, stockers, night stockers, checkers and sackers, according to Gann.

Although walk-ins are welcome, interested persons can speed up the process by completing an online application prior to the job fair at http://marketstreetdfw.com/jobfair. Each person who applies for a position will receive a confirmation email with details about the fair.

Online applicants also will receive a phone call to schedule an interview time. Since online applications are already being accepted, scheduling calls will begin immediately.

The Flower Mound Market Street will be the seventh location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The new location will be noticeably different – both inside and out – from its sister stores in the Metroplex.

“At 55,000 square feet, this is a next-generation Market Street store, with a unique look and feel among any of our other DFW Market Street stores,” said Wes Jackson, chief merchandising officer for United Supermarkets, LLC.

“The most significant difference will be in the merchandise presentation. We’ve done a lot of things to create destination points throughout the store, so that guests will feel like they are moving from one department to another as they shop.”
