Fire crews from at least 10 cities and towns, including Flower Mound and Lewisville, battled a massive five-alarm apartment complex blaze Saturday night behind Grapevine Mills mall.
The fire, which broke out around 8:45 p.m., destroyed two three-story buildings under construction at the new Enclave at Grapevine complex. A third building suffered minor damage.
Scores of onlookers streaming out of Grapevine Mills mall watched as hundreds of firefighters fought the blaze.
Fire units remained on the scene putting out hotspots early Sunday morning, but no injuries were reported.
Electricity was cut to the area around Grapevine Mills Mall and scattered brief power outages were reported in Flower Mound, Northlake and Argyle. Click here for more.
