“Saddle Up Hollywood Style” is the theme for Ranch Hand Rescue’s inaugural Fall Red Carpet Charity Event on Saturday, November 2, at the Le Beaux Chateau at 2701 Corporate Circle in Flower Mound.
Hosting the evening is five-time Emmy Award-winning actress Doris Roberts, best-known as Ray Barone’s mother from the TV show “Everybody Loves Raymond.”
Joining her will be film, stage and television actor Jack Betts performing his show, “On My Way Here.” The 84-year-old Betts attended the prestigious Actors Studio and has been an active entertainer since 1957.
Directing the show is world famous composer and pianist Paul Horner, best-known for his collaboration with such music icons as Peggy Lee and Michael Feinstein.
In addition, there will be a special performance by the H.O.P.E. Farm Boys Choir.
Ranch Hand Rescue has carried out its mission of working with law enforcement agencies in Texas to save critically abused and neglected farm animals. Since its inception in 2009, more than 225 animals have been rescued locally. The organization is located at 8827 Hwy 377 S in Argyle.
In addition, their rescue vision has expanded to include collaboration with local organizations like the Children’s Advocacy Center and Denton County Juvenile Probation to utilize rescued animals to provide Equine and Animal Therapy programs serving the victims of child abuse, as well as to help rehabilitate at-risk youth.
The “Horse of Hope” program spreads inspiration to veterans, children’s hospitals, and families of Wounded Warriors across the country. This year’s Red Carpet Charity event will help fund and grow these programs.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:30 p.m. and is limited to 200 people. Individual tickets are available for $125 and all contributions are tax deductible. A silent auction will be held and donations are still being accepted.
