Flower Mound police are investigating two home break-ins that happened several blocks apart on the same day last week.

The burglaries occurred in the 6000 block of Thorn Trail in Stone Hill Farms and the 2000 block of Dillon Court in Grand Park Estates on Friday. The subdivisions lie between FM 407 and Valley Ridge, east of Morriss Road.

Both break-ins were reported to police around 1 p.m.

Police believe that the burglaries are related and said in both cases entry was made by breaking a glass panel on the back door.

In the Dillon Court break-in, $2,300 worth of jewelry was taken.

The victim on Dillon Court reported seeing a suspicious man in her driveway as she was returning home who asked her if she wanted to buy vegetables.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35-40 years old with a slim build, short blonde/brown hair, driving a older model white pick-up truck with “Steak, Chicken and Fish” in blue writing on the side and a cooler in the truck bed.

Anyone with any information on these crimes should call the Flower Mound Police Department’s Anonymous Crime Tip Line at 972-874-3307 or Denton County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-388-TIPS.
