Interior design company heads back to its roots

Complete Interior Solutions has served the Metroplex for more than 25 years and recently found a new home.

Creator and Owner Paula Kratohvil brought her full service interior design company to Flower Mound a quarter of a century ago, but said her passion for interior design goes back much further. The business was established in Atlanta and continued in Austin before putting down permanent Texas roots with her family.

“When we built in Atlanta, the developer of our community was also our homebuilder,” Paula said. “He started bringing people to our home to show them how his homes could be dressed out. I started doing design work for the people, and the rest is history.”

The Kratohvil’s then moved to Austin, where Paula continued to build her business before moving to Flower Mound, where she and her staff worked out of her home office until outgrowing it and opening a Design Studio in Old Town Lewisville.

Paula recently signed a lease to relocate back to Flower Mound at 4401 Long Prairie Road, Suite 400, just across from the new Flower Mound Hospital and plans to be open by early summer.

Complete Interior Solutions assists their customers with new builds, remodels, color and fixture selections, space management, home décor, staging, and much more.

“We can help you with anything that has to do with the interior of your home or office, whether it’s windows, walls or floors, anything that has to do with your interior space,” said Paula.

“This business was built on great customer service and integrity,” Paula said. “We have a reputation with contractors and architects on residential and commercial projects for our organizational skills, the ability to keep all involved updated and on the same page and moving forward. This cuts time and expense. The only thing more expensive than doing a project is doing it twice.

“Calling a designer should not be intimidating”, Paula said. “We don’t make decisions for clients. We listen, give options and help make informed decisions. We use multiple tools in our presentations to help our clients envision their design and be comfortable in moving forward with their projects.”

Paula, who has served on various committees and boards as well as President of the Flower Mound Rotary, and recipient of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year and Citizen of the Year, said she believes in giving back to the community and makes every effort to support the great network of local non-profits.

“We are looking forward to moving Complete Interior Solutions back to Flower Mound,” Paula said. “This moves us to a more centralized location to better serve our client base that has supported us for 26 years.”
