The Flower Mound Professional Firefighters Association (FMPFFA) has endorsed Jean Levenick for Flower Mound Town Council, Place 5, in the May 11 election.
The organization cited Levenick’s record of supporting the Fire Department and all of the town’s public safety entities.
“The Firefighters Association has greatly appreciated Levenick’s past support, attendance to our Citizens Fire Academy, participation in the Fire Department Rehab team, CERT training, attendance to our annual banquet, proven dedication to the Town thru her work on Planning and Zoning, and her current work on Town Council. If elected, Levenick has pledged to continue listening to the voice of the public safety associations and supporting their staffing, equipment, and training needs,” according to a press release from the FMPFFA.
Levenick was appointed by council to fill Tom Hayden’s vacant seat last June after he successfully ran for mayor. She is being challenged by newcomer, Tami Ryan, in Place 5.
“The Flower Mound Professional Firefighters Association encourages it members, all town employees who are eligible to vote, and every Flower Mound resident to support Jean Levenick in the upcoming election,” said Michael Baldree, FMPFFA President.
“If she is on Town Council, we are confident support for the public and the Fire Department will remain a priority, and there will be a positive change in culture for all employees resulting in a higher level of service for the residents we protect.”
