For the third consecutive year, Kwik Kar Wash and Detail of Flower Mound will be raising funds to support the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas through the Swim Across America organization.
The Dallas chapter of Swim Across America was co-founded in 2011 by Flower Mound resident and 1988 Olympic Swimmer, Andrea Dickson, in support of a friend who was fighting and ultimately lost her battle with cancer.
There are two ways for residents to join the cause.
One is to bring your vehicle in for a wash or detail on Saturday, May 4. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to Swim Across America.
A second way is to make a donation to the Baylor Cancer Center at either Kwik Kar Flower Mound location: Wash and Detail at 2801 Flower Mound Rd. or Auto Repair at 2212 Long Prairie Rd.
For each $100 donation, Kwik Kar will give a $50 gift card to use toward a car wash or detail services.
Kwik Kar hopes to raise $5,000 this year.
