Copper Canyon Road will be out of commission at FM 407 for about a week and a half starting this Monday, March 25, so the intersection can be reconstructed, local officials said.
FM 407 will remain open during the construction project.
Motorists traveling through the area should use FM 2499 or FM 1830 as alternate routes for Copper Canyon Road. See a map here.
After the intersection reopens on or about April 2, Copper Canyon Road will be limited to northbound traffic only from the fire station to Orchid Hill Road, according to Kevin Mercer, Lantana’s General Manager.
Construction on Copper Canyon Road began on January 3, 2012. The entire project to rebuild Copper Canyon Road is anticipated to be completed in July.
