Growing dance studio making all the right moves

Lauren Tippins of Lantana opened the Dance Integrity Studio in Highland Village in April of 2010, and in just under three years, has watched her business grow exponentially.

Tippins has had a lifelong passion for dancing and choreography which stems from a childhood and adolescence surrounded by the art form.

The Flower Mound High School graduate has been dancing since the age of three, and said the response her studio has received is phenomenal, and the services her studio offers are second to none.

“We have 200 students and 10 teachers,” Tippins said.  “We have four large dance rooms with sprung dance floors. Our lobby has closed circuit TV for classroom viewing as well as viewing windows.  We have a large break room and soon-to-open dance wear boutique.

“We have classes running in all four rooms between 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. We offer many classes taught by experienced teachers skilled in those specific dance areas. We offer classes for girls and boys ages 2-18. We have a prestigious, award winning, performing company.”

Classes offered include tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, Zumba, yoga, turns and leaps, drill team prep, competition prep and adult tap, and Tippins recently decided to relocate to a new location in Highland Village to accommodate her growing number of students.

“We were originally located in Highland Village at The Center, located behind Celebrations,” Tippins said. “Our new location in Highland Village is twice the size of our old location and located in the Kroger shopping center.  We love that our new studio is now able to be seen from the street.

“We have had a wonderful response to our new location. Everyone feels that our new studio is so welcoming with large rooms, tall ceilings, brightly colored dance rooms, two lobbies, and break room.”

Tippins began teaching and choreographing while still in high school, and went on to receive her degree in education from the University of North Texas.

With a variety of amenities, Tippins said the new Dance Integrity Studio is even better than the original.

“’Best Prices, Most Fun’ is our motto,” Tippins said. “We are very family oriented. Our goal is to make the dance experience a positive one by offering a wide array of classes in our relaxed family atmosphere.

“Instruction is provided by positive role models that are experienced, exceptional teachers. We offer classes for the first time recreational dancer to the serious competitive dancer.”
