According to their King Cake Sponsors, Medical Center of Lewisville, MD Pediatrics and St. Phillip Catholic Church, PediPlace’s Mardi Gras Gala has set the bar high with a new venue and substantial amounts of local reinforcements.
In its 5th year, the charity event is set to host over 400 attendees who will enjoy an evening complete with extravagant dining, live music by New Ground, a vast silent auction and a few surprises–all combining to help reach the goal of making healthcare a reality for every kid.
“The Gala directly supports our ability to give quality primary pediatric healthcare to children throughout North Texas that are uninsured or receiving Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) benefits,” said PediPlace President and CEO, Larry S. Robins. “Our primary-care pediatric services are provided at a significantly lower cost than by private practice pediatricians, but no child will ever be denied service because of an inability to pay.”
Money raised at the Gala, through sponsorship, attendance and bidding on auction items, allows PediPlace to maintain its high level of service to the nearly 6,000 children they serve each year.
PediPlace is honoring Debra A. Naylor, MD, PA, FAAP; 18 and Under MD as well as Bing Burton, PhD; Director Denton County Health Department, at the event.
