Marcus falls to Trinity in playoff opener

The Marcus football team fought hard in its bi-district round game against Euless Trinity at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday afternoon, but came up short losing 24-6 to the Trojans.

Trinity led 10-0 at halftime, and was up 24-0 until late in the fourth.

With under a minute to play, Ryan Everett caught a 2-yard pass from Ryan Vaughn to get the Marauders on the board.

Ryan Vaughn passed for 179 yards and a touchdown in the game for the Marauders, and Logan Sepanek had four receptions for 74 yards in the contest.

Marcus wrapped up the season with a 4-7 overall record, and 3-2 finish in district competition.
