Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

04-30-2012  5:00 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 7700 blk. Justin Rd. – Complainant reported that an unknown person cut the chain on her gated property and mowed a strip of grass near the fence line.

04-30-2012  7:55 p.m. – Theft – 9100 blk. Blanco Dr., Lantana – An unknown person found the Complainant’s credit cards and used them at multiple area businesses.

05-01-2012  2:50 a.m. – Accident – 200 blk. Kings Rd. – Officer responded to a reported motor vehicle accident.  Upon arrival a black Chevy Cavalier was found to have struck a tree and all airbags deployed.  The motorist was located at a local residence later in the morning.

05-02-2012  1:11 p.m. – 400 blk. Cross Timbers – A work crew member and their supervisor got involved in a disagreement regarding pay.  The responding officer gave a courtesy ride out of town to the employee.

05-03-2012  8:17 p.m. – 100 blk. Meadow Knoll – Neighbors became involved in a disturbance about walking a dog off leash.

05-04-2012  12:17 a.m. – 6000 blk. Hawk Rd. – A parent wanted police documentation of problems he was having with his former wife regarding child hand off.

05-04-2012  4:07 a.m. – 200 blk. Kings Rd. – A witness reported a horse in the roadway.  Officer was unable to locate the owner but was able to secure the horse in its pasture.

05-05-2012  11:20 p.m. – 500 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Complainant reported that their mailbox was ran over.  The responding officer was able to track the offending vehicle to the 700 blk. of Simmons Rd. where he located an orange Jeep with two flat tires.  Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted and the decision was made to place the motorist under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

05-07-2012  4:46 p.m. – 300 blk. Waketon Rd. – A resident reported an unknown person removing signage from their driveway.
