Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

03-08-2012  7.59 a.m. – Disturbance – 3900 blk. Chapel Ct. – Family members involved in a verbal disturbance.  No offense reported.

03-09-2012  4:58 p.m. – Animal Complaint – 200 blk. Colonial Ct. – Two dogs running at large.  The owner was located by the responding officer and the dogs were retrieved.

03-10-2012  11:02 p.m. – Major Accident – 5800 blk. FM 1830 – Double Oak Officer assisted with traffic control at the scene of a major vehicle accident.

03-11-2012  3:07 a.m. – Suspicious Activity – 300 blk. Carruth Ln. – Homeowner heard suspicious noises outside their residence.  Bartonville and Double Oak officers checked the perimeter and didn’t find any suspects.

03-11-2012  8:26 p.m. – Telephone Harassment – 200 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – A resident received a harassing text message from an unknown person.

03-11-2012  7:14 p.m. – Suspicious Activity – 100 blk. Knob Hill Ln. – A resident reported a low flying small plane.

03-12-2012  6:44 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 200 blk. Simmons – A resident reported a door to door solicitor.

03-12-2012  7:40 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. Forest Oak Ct. – A resident reported a solicitor who used pretext of asking for directions.  Officer didn’t locate the vendor.

03-12-2012  12:39 p.m. – Credit Card Abuse – 100 blk. Eagles Peak Ln. – A resident reported being the victim of credit card fraud.

03-12-2012  12:13 a.m. – Business Alarm – 2600 blk. FM 407, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer responded to business alarm with Bartonville PD.  No criminal activity was detected.

03-14-2012  3:00 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. Lake Trail – Officer contacted a door to door solicitor and issued a warning citation.  Vendor left the area.

03-14-2012  2:09 p.m. – Warrant Arrest – 7000 blk. Justin Rd. – Double Oak Officer conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest of Cameron Pritchett, 20 years old, for the Denton County Warrant of Evading Arrest / Detention. 
03-14-2012  10:14 p.m. – Disturbance – 3900 blk. Chapel Ct. – Double Oak Officer found a distraught adult female walking the roadway with her son.  The woman and her son were escorted to a local restaurant where she was united with her father and brother.

03-14-2012   7:25 p.m. – Alarm – 8700 blk. Thompson Dr., Lantana – Double Oak Officer responded to a residential burglary alarm in Lantana.  No criminal activity was detected.

03-14-2012  10:58 p.m. – Disturbance – 100 blk. S. Woodland Dr. – Officer responded to a complaint of loud music.

03-14-2012  10:35 a.m. – Found Property – 300 blk. Highland Ct. – A resident turned in a found wallet containing credit cards, school identification and other government documents.  The owner of the wallet was located in Oklahoma and the wallet was returned to his mother.

03-16-2012  2:50 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. Timberleaf – A resident reported a solicitor without a permit.  Upon initial contact the solicitor provided false identification to the responding officer and then repeatedly lied to law enforcement about his identity.  Suspect Willie Free III, 25 years of age, was arrested for Failure to Identify as a Fugitive.

03-17-2012  10:43 p.m. – Disturbance – 100 blk. Maple Dr. – Double Oak assisted Bartonville with responding to a complaint about a large, noisy party.

03-17-2012  6:23 a.m. – Burglary of Business – 300 blk. Hwy. 377 N, Argyle – Double Oak PD assisted with initial investigation of a business burglary in Argyle.

03-17-2012  2:48 a.m. – Suspicious Activity – 4000 blk. FM 2499, Copper Canyon – Double Oak responded to Citizen concerns about suspicious males near the lake.  Upon further investigation it was determined to be early morning fishermen.

03-19-2012  5:08 a.m. – Business Alarm – 2600 blk. FM 407 E, Bartonville – Double Oak PD assisted with alarm call.  Further investigation revealed a delivery company triggered the alarm.

03-19-2012  2:28 a.m. – Road Blockage – 100 blk. Kings Rd. – Patrol Officer found a tree blocking the roadway.  Double Oak Fire Department responded and cut the tree down clearing the road.

03-19-2012  2:00 p.m. – Vehicle Tow – 100 blk. Oak Trail – A violator was stopped for speeding and did not present a valid driver’s license, or insurance, or vehicle registration.  Vehicle was impounded and the motorist was issued citations.

03-21-2012  8:40 a.m. – Vehicle Burglary – 200 blk. N. Forest Ln. – An unknown person entered a resident’s car, without permission, and took and Apple laptop.
03-22-2012  8:13 p.m. – Suspicious Person – 100 blk. N. Forest Ln. – A concerned citizen reported a suspicious person.  Further investigation revealed it was a male waiting for the return of his family to their residence.

03-22-2012  12:49 a.m. – Vehicle Accident – 5700 blk. Chinn Chapel Rd. – Double Oak Officer found a vehicle in a ditch in Flower Mound Police Department jurisdiction.  Officer assisted with their initial investigation.
