Marcus won its second consecutive state boys basketball championship on Saturday night, defeating Fort Bend Travis by a score of 56-52 at the Frank Erwin center at the University of Texas at Austin.
Phil Forte led the team in scoring with 24 points, while Marcus Smart added 15 points and Nick Banyard scored 10 points.
AJ Luckey contributed five points and Jared Hamilton scored two points in the game.
Marcus wrapped up the season with a perfect 14-0 district record and overall mark of 39-2.
