Defending state champion Marcus defeated Mansfield Timberview Tuesday night by a score of 78-56 in the Class 5A Region I boys basketball playoffs at UT Arlington.
The Marauders (35-2) will face North Crowley this Friday at 6 p.m. at Wilkerson Greines Coliseum in Fort Worth. Tickets will be available at the door.
Across town at The Colony High School, Argyle (29-8) knocked off Lovejoy in the 3A regional quarterfinals, 40-37, and are headed to the semi-finals at Texas A&M-Commerce this weekend.
