Post Ad – Top

If you went with a live Christmas tree this year and are ready to un-deck the halls, two local municipalities want to help you recycle your tree.

The Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Division is offering free Christmas tree recycling from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 26 through Jan. 8 at Gerault Park, 1200 Gerault Road. Residents can also drop off their trees in a designated area after hours at the same location.

Highland Village residents can drop off their trees from Dec. 26 to Jan. 2 at Copperas Branch Park, 100 Copperas Branch Park Dr. in the designated area in the front parking lot.

Trees cannot be flocked and all decorations and nails must be removed. Lumber and trash will not be accepted.

Residents who would like mulch are encouraged to bring their own containers.

For more information, call 972-874-PARK in Flower Mound or 972-317-7430 in Highland Village.
