Bartonville dentist spreads smiles

Whether G. Robert Marye, D.D.S., is treating a child or a senior citizen, a Dallas Maverick or a patient from Christian Community Action, his goal is the same – to provide the highest level of dental care in a safe and comfortable environment.

Each patient’s personalized care is of the utmost importance.  “It’s the art of dentistry that I love. It’s the science of dentistry that I understand, and it’s the passion for dental education, either for myself, a patient, or a student, that I most enjoy about my profession,” said Dr. Marye.

Aside from his successful dental practice in Bartonville Town Center, he has been the team dentist for the Dallas Mavericks since 2002 and was recently named director of the Christian Community Action dental clinic in Lewisville, providing smiles to disadvantaged residents of North Texas.

Dr. Marye offers preventative, aesthetic and restorative dentistry for the whole family. Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry are also a part of his expertise. Dr. Marye is a certified Invisalign provider and also offers the new ZOOM! Advanced Power Whitening as seen on ABC’s Extreme Makeover. He teaches courses on head and neck anatomy, embryology, and dental anatomy to the dental hygiene students at TWU and has completed extensive continuing education in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Marye is also adjunct faculty at Baylor College of Dentistry-Texas A&M Health Science Center.

His practice is built on patient loyalty. “We treat our patients how we want to be treated,” said Dr. Marye, a native Texan who grew up in Dallas and graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory. “Our promise to you is to provide the highest level of service in a safe and comfortable environment.” The office has amenities from blankets to headphones to hairspray. There is a playroom for kids with toys, games and movies, and for patients, there are orthopedic chairs and pillows.

“One of my main goals is to keep the humanity in healthcare. I treat each person as an individual. In this day and age when technology is taking over, nothing beats having a healthcare provider who values each patient as an individual human being,” said Dr. Marye, who graduated from the University of Texas in Austin.

It’s truly a family practice as Rachel, Dr. Marye’s wife of 20 years, is the office manager.  Rachel said her husband has a gift in delivering compassionate care to patients. “Whether it’s a child or a senior citizen, his patients can sense his sincerity and honesty, and he treats everyone with the same caring attitude,” she added.

The Marye’s have three children and a farm in Bartonville.  Dr. Marye volunteers his time to his children’s pursuits at their school, Liberty Christian, and to the dental clinic at Christian Community Action. He has also served as treasurer on the board for the North Texas Book Festival, a foundation supporting literacy programs in libraries and schools in North Texas.
