At least two men apparently forced their way in an upscale home in west Flower Mound Tuesday night, assaulted the homeowner and made off with $9,000 cash.

Flower Mound Police responded to an Aggravated Robbery just before 9:00 p.m. at a home in the 3500 block of Sunnyview Lane, off of High Road near Lake Grapevine. There were two people in the home at the time of the robbery.

Police said the men forced their way into the house after one of the homeowners opened the front door after hearing them knocking.  The homeowner was injured when he was struck in the face by one of the suspects.

The suspects were described as white males, one was of average build and another was described as being over 6 feet tall and weighing over 300 pounds.

Detectives believe that at least one of the suspects might have known the victims.

The Flower Mound Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them on the anonymous tip line at 972-874-3307.
