Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

09-20-2011  10:05 p.m. – Assist Agency (Vehicle Accident) – 300 blk. FM 1830 E, Denton Cnty. – Double Oak Police assisted with traffic control until Denton County Deputy could complete a vehicle crash investigation.

09-21-2011  3:13 p.m. – Animal Complaint – 200 blk. Cedar Crest Ln. – Officer assisted with finding the owner of a horse that got out of its pasture.

09-21-2011  7:16 p.m. – Suspicious Person – 300 blk. Double Oaks Dr. – A resident reported a suspicious male walking around their neighbor’s house.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the unknown male was a contractor working for their neighbor.

09-21-2011  9:20 p.m. – Disturbance – 3900 blk. Chapel Ct. – An officer responded to a call regarding a man and woman fighting.  Both parties were separated and the disturbance was ended when one party voluntarily left the location.

09-23-2011  2:16 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 100 blk. Carruth Dr. W. – An unknown suspect struck the homeowner’s mailbox causing damage.

09-25-2011  1:42 a.m. – Assist Agency (DWI Investigation) – 400 blk. E. Collins, Argyle – Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle PD with the apprehension of an intoxicated driver.

09-25-2011  4:31 p.m. – Found Property – 300 blk. Waketon Rd. – An officer on patrol located an Apple  iPad in the street.  The department has been unable to locate the owner.  If this is your iPad please call 972-355-5995.

09-26-2011  6:47 p.m. – Assist Agency (Disturbance) – 1200 blk. Pecan Dr. – Double Oak PD assisted Bartonville PD with a disturbance investigation.

09-29-2011  3:56 p.m. – Suspicious Person – 400 blk. Waketon Rd. – A concerned citizen reported an adult male, on foot, possibly intoxicated.  Officers were unable to locate the suspicious person.

09-30-2011 8:43 p.m. – Assist Agency (Intoxicated Person) – 900 blk. Copper Canyon Rd. – Double Oak Officer assisted Denton County with call regarding an intoxicated person.

10-01-2011  9:02 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 300 blk. Oak Trail – Caller reported hearing a loud crashing noise.  Officer was unable to determine the cause of the noise.

10-02-2011  5:04 a.m. – Assist Agency (Suspicious Vehicle) – 700 blk. Hickory Hill Rd. E., Argyle – Operator of a suspicious vehicle had been involved in an earlier assault.  Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle PD with transporting and witnesses.

10-02-2011  8:02 p.m. – 911 Hang-up – 100 blk. Oak Trail – Accidental call to 911.

10-03-2011  11:34 p.m. – Assist Stranded Motorist – 7000 blk. FM 407 – Officer assisted adult female and two children after their car ran out of gas on 407.
