Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

09-03-2011  5:00 p.m. – Assist Agency (Hit and Run) – 200 blk. Forest Park – The Lewisville Police Department requested assistance in locating the driver of a vehicle used in a hit and run.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the Double Oak resident had sold the vehicle.

09-04-2011  5:01 a.m. – Assist Fire Department (Gas Leak) – 300 blk. Highland Ct. – Double Oak Officer was dispatched to assist with the investigation of a possible gas leak.

09-04-2011  1:46 a.m. – Assist Agency (Argyle PD) – 300 blk. US Hwy 377 S. – Assisted Argyle PD on a traffic stop involving multiple minors.  Officer left the scene after the minors were released to their parents.

09-05-2011  7:37 p.m. – Assist Agency (Denton County Sheriff’s Dept.) – 8000 blk. F.M. 407, Denton Cnty. – Double Oak Officer remained on scene for traffic control until the arrival of TXDPS.

09-06-2011  12:36 a.m. – Assist Agency (Argyle PD) – Brice Ct., Argyle – Double Oak Officer provided cover to an Argyle Officer investigating a disturbance. 

09-06-2011  1:41 p.m. – Warrant Arrest – 4000 blk. Shiloh Rd. – Officer conducted a traffic stop, determined that the driver was wanted for two misdemeanor citations out of Flower Mound and arrested the wanted person.  Arrestee was then transported to the Flower Mound jail.

09-06-2011  9:50 a.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. Carruth Ln. W. – A citizen reported a vendor in the area of Carruth Estates.

09-07-2011  12:02 p.m. – Suspicious Activity – 100 blk. Timberleaf Ct. – A concerned resident reported an unknown moving van in their neighborhood.  Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

09-07-2011  4:37 p.m. – Assist Motorist – 800 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Officer provided traffic control for a motorist who had run out of gas.

09-08-2011  11:02 a.m. – Assist Fire Department (Smoke Investigation) – 6000 blk. Pepperport – A citizen noticed an unusual amount of smoke in the air.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the smoke was being generated by wildfires South of Dallas Ft. Worth and not locally.

09-08-2011  6:05 a.m. – Assist Agency (Denton County Sheriff’s Dept.) – 8000 blk. Tyler, Lantana Cnty. – Officer responded to a suspicious person call but was unable to locate the subject in question.

09-10-2011  11:54 p.m. – Assist Agency (Suspicious Vehicle) – 100 Burghley Ct., Bartonville – Double Oak Officer provided cover for Bartonville Officer during a suspicious vehicle investigation.

09-10-2011  12:21 a.m. – Assist Agency (Suspicious Vehicle) – 300 blk. Whispering Trails Dr., Argyle – Officers were unable to locate reported suspicious vehicle.

09-10-2011  12:35 a.m. – Assist Agency (Suspicious Vehicle) – 8300 blk. Victoria Ln., Lantana – Double Oak Officer responded to a suspicious circumstances call at the request of the Sheriff’s Office.  Upon arrival it was determined that a moving company was engaged in late activity.  Officer made contact with the concerned caller.

09-10-2011  5:09 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 300 blk. Oak View Dr. – Unknown person drove through the Complainant’s yard.

09-11-2011  1:46 a.m. – Assist Agency (Disturbance) – 9100 blk. Charles St., Lantana – Double Oak and Bartonville Officers separated the fighting parties until the arrival of the Denton County Sheriff’s Department.

09-12-2011  5:36 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 300 blk. E. Carruth – A concerned citizen reported an unknown vehicle parked in the woods near their residence.  Vehicle was gone upon officer arrival.

09-12-2011  8:58 p.m. – Suspicious Person – 300 blk. Highland Ct. – Upon returning home Complainant was met by an unknown male walking out from under their car port.  The unknown male got into a blue SUV and drove away.  Homeowner did not notice anything missing from their residence.

09-12-2011  12:40 p.m. – Minor Accident – 200 blk. Double Oaks Dr. – Officer helped a motorist make contact with the other party to an accident that had occurred earlier in the week.

09-13-2011  1:46 a.m. – 100 blk. Chapel Hill – Suspicious Circumstances – Caller observed a naked man walking down Chinn Chapel.  Officer was unable to locate the subject.

09-13-2011  5:36 a.m. – 100 blk. Maple Leaf – Barking Dog – Officer made contact with the owner of a barking dog.  The owner brought the dog back inside the house.

09-15-2011  6:59 p.m. – 500 blk. Simmons – Suspicious Vehicle – A homeowner reported an unknown car parked in their yard.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the car belonged to a cleaning person for a house further down the street.

09-15-2011  9:48 p.m. – 3000 blk. F.M. 407, Bartonville – Assist Agency (Alarm) – Business was secure upon officer arrival.

09-17-2011  10:33 p.m. – 8000 blk. Tyler Dr., Lantana – Assist Agency (Theft In Progress) – Suspect was gone upon officer arrival.

09-18-2011  3:48 a.m. – 1200 blk. Redbud Dr., Bartonville – Assist Agency (Disturbance) – Assisted Sheriff’s Department on a disturbance call.
