Flower Mound officials were joined by residents, hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday celebrating the opening of the new Cross Timbers Trailhead.
Located on Dunham Road in western Flower Mound, the multi-use trailhead will provide outdoor enthusiasts and emergency response personnel with convenient and easy access to miles of trails along the north shore of Lake Grapevine.
The project was funded utilizing the quarter-cent parks and recreation dedicated sales tax approved by Flower Mound voters in 2007.
