Ashlyn Lerma, 11, of Highland Village is one of three finalist in the girls 11/12 age group in the Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition to be held Sunday at Rangers stadium.
Lerma recently won the local competition in Flower Mound as well as the regional competition in Fort Worth.
Her score of 984 points was the highest score in Texas and she will be competing for a chance to go to the MLB All Star game in Arizona.
Lerma plays select softball for the Texas Twisters of Flower Mound as their starting shortstop and pitcher.
