Several small tornadoes were spotted in southern Denton County on Tuesday evening as a series of strong storms moved through the area.

Funnel clouds and tornadoes were reported in Argyle, Corinth, Ponder and south Denton. 

Storm damage to several homes occurred on the north side of the Country Lakes subdivision in Argyle, with roof damage and downed trees and fences being reported by residents.

At least one tornado may have touched down briefly near Guyer High School on FM 2181 in south Denton, although no damage was reported by the school district.

No injuries were reported from the storms.
