Argyle ISD Education Foundation board members recently visited area school campuses to distribute $20,000 in funding to teachers.
The grants will go towards innovative teaching programs based on applications written and submitted by AISD teachers, according to the foundation’s spokesperson, Kelly Dunham.
The Fall Grants-to-Teachers program was made possible by the Science Initiative sponsored by The Miles Foundation and through the Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser, The Black Diamond Affair.
The 8th Annual Black Diamond Affair, featuring a live auction and music from The Spazmatics, will be held at the Hyatt Regency D/FW on Feb. 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.
