Responding to mounting concerns about air and water quality, the town of Bartonville will host a citizen’s question-and-answer session on gas drilling and production on Tuesday, Nov. 30, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lantana Community Fellowship Church.
According to town officials, the Bartonville Gas Drilling and Production Q&A Forum was organized as a means to answer questions posed by residents of the town and nearby areas regarding the environmental impact of gas well drilling and production activities in the community.
Members of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Railroad Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, Bartonville Water Supply Corporation, Argyle Water Supply Corporation and the town’s gas well inspector will be on hand to answer questions.
Each panel member will be given a few minutes to introduce themselves and then the floor will be opened to moderated questions from officials and residents.
