District conducting parent survey

School officials with the Denton Independent School District want to hear from parents.

The district is issuing a short survey asking parents/guardians for their opinions on a number of topics concerning the district and its schools. The survey will be available online through a link on the district homepage at www.dentonisd.org from Friday, Oct. 1, through Oct. 18.

The survey covers a variety of topics and is aligned with district goals, which are established by the Board of Trustees. The topics include teaching and learning, safety and wellness, facilities and technology. It also allows parents/guardians the opportunity to include their own input on other subjects.

Parents with more than one child are asked to submit a survey for each school their children attend.

“Denton ISD consistently looks for ways to improve the educational experience for all our students in Pre-K through 12th grade and welcome the input from our parents to accomplish this goal,” said Sharon Cox, director of communications and community relations. “This survey is just one channel to receive that input.”

Results will be released at a future Board of Trustees meeting and on the district website after they are tabulated.
