Ladies hold scavenger hunt

Dashing Divas drive off with the trophy
Within a two hour period the ladies from the Dashing Divas team were driven around town in a limousine, collected clues, guessed all the riddles, competed in all the events and were back by 9pm to accept the trophy!  It was part of the fun of this year’s Lantana Ladies League’s Amazing Race – a smaller version of the popular television show of the same name, on Sept. 21.

“We had amazing teamwork! When I signed up for the race, I had no idea that I would be working with such an amazing group of women. Not only did we achieve victory, but we also became instantly connected to this dynamic organization we call the Lantana Ladies League,” said Stephanie Seay, team member from the Dashing Divas.  Team member Cindy Measles agreed and added “We had so much fun doing the race. The Dashing Divas really pulled it together to make it an exciting time.”

More than 80 women took part in the race.  Kimberly Windle was this year’s coordinator of the event.  “It was a great success! The race took the teams to schools, Lantana Golf Course, a local Fire Station and local businesses,” she added.

Windle and her coordinating team, Julie Weaver and Christy Nilsen, received help throughout the night thanks to firefighters, merchants, and of course husbands.  Special thanks to Palermo’s Italian Grill for hosting the pre-festivities and the grand finale.  Ladies fueled up on pasta and pizza before the big race.

Congratulations to the Dashing Divas for a dashing win! Team members included:  Joni Carlton, Stephanie Seay, Cindy Measles, Aubry Talkington, Cheryl Snider, Kathy Black, Candy Tyson, Colleen Preston, Allison Thomas and Lee, the talented limo driver.
