Horse Power

Argyle breeders Paul and Julee Kula of Wind Spirit Friesians will present seven horses, including Illand Kula (pictured), at the 2010 Friesian Horse Inspection in Denton this Friday.

Billed as the largest gathering of Friesian horses in Texas, more than 50 Friesians are expected at the event that will take place at the Diamond T Arena at 6900 East Sherman Drive (FM 428) in Denton beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Once each year, the Koninklijhe Vereniging Het Friesch Paarden-Stamboek (KFPS), the mother registry of the Friesian horse in the Netherlands, sends inspectors and judges to North America.

Horses of all ages will be inspected, including aged mares and stallions. All newborn foals will be presented for ranking within the registry.

A dressage exhibition will be held during the lunch break. The public is invited and admission is free. Refreshments and lunch will be available for purchase. Vendors selling horse related products and services will also be available.
