An investigation is underway after Lewisville Police arrested a Lantana man Wednesday on suspicion of exposing himself to a small child at a local book store.

Police said that Kevin Walton, 32, of Lantana’s Magnolia neighborhood, is suspected of exposing himself to a 5-year old girl on Saturday afternoon in the children’s book section of Half Price Books at 420 East Round Grove Road in Lewisville.

According to the Arrest Warrant Affidavit, Walton approached the girl as she was sitting in a corner reading a book.  The girl’s mother told police that she was looking at books in the next aisle when the incident occurred.

The entire incident was caught on the store’s security camera and the video was released to the media on Tuesday.

A television viewer contacted the Highland Village Police Department the next day after recognizing Walton in a local barber shop.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant after interviewing Walton and conducted a search of his home on Granger Circle to obtain DNA for comparison to evidence left at the scene and to search for child pornography.

Walton is currently in the Lewisville City Jail awaiting arraignment on a charge of Indecency with a Child.
