Ladies toast another successful year

The Lantana Ladies League bid farewell to their outgoing board members and introduced the new board at their final meeting of the season on May 18th at Sonoma Grill and Wine Bar in Parker Square.

Outgoing President Joni Carlton received a standing ovation and a special gift for her two years of service to the league.

The reins were handed over to Kate Gardner of Lantana, who serves as Development Director of Lake Dallas-based The SUCCESS Foundation which provides personal-development books and materials to teens.

Gardner and the rest of the new board members will take over this August following summer break.

The Lantana Ladies League currently has more than 150 members from Lantana and the surrounding area.

The mission of the league is to bring together women with shared interests and a passion for making their community a better place.  The majority of the league’s fundraising efforts go towards the Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County.
