On Tuesday, May 25, the Board of Trustees is hosting a special reception to honor all the employees of the Denton Independent School District who are retiring from education this year.
The reception, scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Professional Development Center, is to recognize the employees and the more than 600 years they have given to students in Denton ISD and throughout the state and nation.
The following retiring employees from Lantana area schools will be honored:
Debbie Grindle, Guyer High, counselor
Peggy Harvey, EP Rayzor Elementary, instructional support teacher
Diane Lowe, Guyer High, counselor
Jo Lynn Melson, Harpool Middle School, social studies teacher
Julia Rowell, Guyer High, language arts teacher
Cynthia Venables, EP Rayzor Elementary, reading recovery teacher
Heather White, EP Rayzor Elementary, art teacher
Judith Winslow, Blanton Elementary, second grade teacher
Candace Zangoei, Guyer High, language arts teacher
