Dining for a Cure to raise funds for American Cancer Society

On the heels of last year’s successful event, PointBank and Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant in Denton are once again partnering to raise money for Relay for Life and The American Cancer Society.

The bank’s CEO, President, executive members and branch managers will work a second job this Wednesday evening as they serve as waiters, cashiers, hosts and hostesses, and bus persons to raise money for the community effort.

The event will be held at Giuseppe’s in Denton from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and reservations are encouraged, but not required.  All tips and 10% of all proceeds from the night will benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.

Last year’s event was host to over 125 patrons and raised almost $2,000 for the cause.  Event organizers anticipate even greater participation this year, as one of the bank’s own, Mac McCuistion, is battling Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a deadly and rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

“Our community and banking family has always shown such a tremendous amount of compassion and support for a variety of causes.  This one is especially close to our heart as we continue to support and encourage Mac as he fights this battle,” said Kim Bunton, Branch Manager for the Denton South PointBank location.

On a light-hearted note, patrons of the event enjoy the tasty meal and entertaining wait staff.  “The food is always great and it is fun to watch PointBank employees work up a sweat while I sip my wine,” commented Joey Hawkins, Owner of The Jupiter House in Denton.

Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant is located at 821 N. Locust in Denton.  Reservations can be made by calling 940-381-2712.
