Double Oak Mayor Mike Donnelly (pictured center) recently presented a 30-year recognition plaque to the members of the Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department in honor of their anniversary this year.
“It will be a year-long celebration and I encourage all residents to stop by the firehouse or send them a card recognizing this anniversary of their service to the town and region,” said Donnelly.
Donnelly said that despite the town’s growth over the years, the DOVFD remains staffed 100-percent by volunteers and relies heavily on donations for support.
