Restaurant to spread its wings at mall

Buffalo Wild Wings, a Minneapolis-based chicken wing restaurant and sports bar chain, is planning to fly into The Shops at Highland Village mall later this year.

A site plan was recently submitted to city officials for an outparcel space at the northeast corner of FM 407 and Chinn Chapel.

No specific timeline was announced for the restaurant’s opening.

Buffalo Wild Wings serves up Buffalo-style chicken wings, sandwiches, ribs and beer in a sports bar-style setting. It also offers take-out.

The chain owns or franchises 658 sports bar restaurants across 42 states.

Regency Centers, the mall’s management, also recently announced that Mt. Fuji Restaurant, specializing in Japanese table-side hibachi and cuisine, has leased 6,475 square feet of unoccupied space on the west side of the AMC Highland Village 12 and is slated to open for business this spring.
