Double Oak police issued a Crime Alert Monday after a residential burglary was reported.
Police said that an unknown suspect or suspects broke into a home in the 6000 block of Hawk Rd. between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday and stole a pink Dell Inspirion Laptop Computer, a 42″ Toshiba LCD Television, a Sony Blu-Ray player, an exercise cycle and jewelry.
The suspects forced entry into the home through a window and exited through the front door, police said.
Monday’s burglary was very similar to a rash of daytime break-ins that occurred last fall in the town.
Police urge residents to report suspicious behavior immediately by calling 911 with a description of the suspect and their vehicle, along with a cell phone photo of the suspect vehicle’s license plate, if possible.
