Harpool Middle School’s eighth grade boys’ basketball team will take part in the Gatorade NBA All-Star Jam Session Invitational in conjunction with NBA All-Star Game festivities that lead up to the annual game on Sunday, Feb. 14, at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
The NBA All-Star Jam Session features more than 11 acres of NBA-themed activities, events and memorabilia in preparation for the game. As part of the festivities, the league is hosting a basketball tournament featuring several eighth-grade basketball teams from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Harpool team captains Miles Crawford, Josh Jordan, Jerrod Heard and Alex Partridge will join coach Jason Clouse in being recognized for their participation as part of the NBA’s official press conference at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in the Dallas Convention Center.
The Longhorns will open the tournament against Grace Prep Academy at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, on Court 2 at the Dallas Convention Center. Four wins would place Harpool in the championship game Saturday, Feb. 13, on Center Court.
Tickets to the event are $5 and can be purchased at the convention center ticket booth located in Lower Lobby D. The ticket booth is open from 3 to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 10-12 and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. the day of the championship.
