Last Day to Register to Vote

Today is the last day to register to vote in the March 2 Primary Election.

To be eligible to vote in Texas, persons must be U.S. citizens, a resident of the county and may not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law.

Prospective voters must be 18 years of age, although they may register at 17 years and 10 months, and may not be convicted felons, unless their sentences, including parole and probation, have been successfully completed.

Residents can find a voter registration application at the Denton County elections office or online at https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/vrapp/index.asp.

Early voting for the March 2 Primary Election will be Feb. 16 through Feb. 26, and the deadline to apply for a ballot to vote by mail is Feb. 23. More information about the election can be found at http://elections.dentoncounty.com/go.asp?Dept=82.
