Candidate Forums Scheduled Throughout Community

Denton County Republican candidates in contested March 2 Primary races have been invited to speak at several forums throughout the county this month.

“These forums, which are always open to the public, are a great way for our voters to get to know our candidates and decide which ones to support in our contested races,” said Dianne Edmondson, Denton County Republican Party Chair.

Most of the forums include all contested races in the area, while others are specific to just certain races.

The forums are scheduled for:

Trophy Club – Feb. 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Lake Cities Church of Christ, 280 Indian Creek Drive in Roanoke.

Hickory Creek – Feb 3 – 11:30 a.m. at Texas Land & Cattle Restaurant on I-35E.  State Representatives and Juvenile Court judicial candidates. Hosted by the Denton County Pachyderm Club.

Lewisville – Feb. 4 – 7:00 p.m. at the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce office – Juvenile Court & State Representative candidates. Hosted by the Denton County Republican Club.

Lewisville/Castle Hills – Feb. 9 – 7:00 p.m. – Castle Hills Community Center, 2501 Queen Margaret – Candidates for DA, State Representative, JP and other contested judicial races. Hosted by the Castle Hills Conservative Club.

Frisco – Feb. 11 – 6:00-7:30 p.m. – Frisco Chamber of Commerce – District Attorney and State Representative candidates. Hosted by the Frisco Chamber Governmental Affairs.

Little Elm/Frisco/The Colony – Feb. 11 – 6:00 p.m. – Living Word Baptist Church, 2315 W FM 720 in Little Elm – State Representative, District Attorney, Judicial and JP races. Hosted by the Little Elm Area Republican Network.

Flower Mound – Feb 15 – Flower Mound Police Community Room – All Judicial candidates in contested races. Hosted by The Town of Flower Mound Republicans.

Early voting for the March 2 Primary Election will be held Feb. 16 through Feb. 26.
